Congo reports 7,258 Ebola cases as WHO says no turning point yet

DR Congo government figures released on September 15 show 7,258 confirmed Bundibugyo Ebola cases and 3,510 deaths across seven provinces. Daily cases have fallen from about 120 to about 80, but UN and WHO officials say the epidemic remains extensive and is not yet under control.

Residents and travellers in affected areas should follow national health authorities and WHO advice, avoid contact with patient body fluids and seek care early. Slower case growth does not mean the outbreak is over.
