The Cyberport Venture & Capital Forum 2026 closed on November 6 with more than 600 deal flows, over 2,800 attendees and 200,000-plus online views, focused on agentic AI and tokenised assets.
The Cyberport Venture & Capital Forum 2026 closed in Hong Kong on November 6, facilitating more than 600 deal flows over two days, drawing over 2,800 attendees and more than 200,000 online views — a record for the event.
Focus on agentic AI and tokenised assets
Held under the theme "Scaling in a Changing World: Winning the Next Competitive Cycle", the forum connected international investors with high-growth technology companies through founder pitches, investor matching, startup clinics and innovation showcases. Its spotlight event, the Agentic Economy Summit, explored agentic AI, tech infrastructure transformation and asset tokenisation.
Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, said in his keynote that digital assets are redefining how value moves across the global economy, and that Hong Kong is not merely observing the transformation but actively leading and architecting it. The Blockchain & Digital Asset Pilot Subsidy Scheme launched by Cyberport last year drew an encouraging response, with more than half of the shortlisted projects already commercialised; the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau has commissioned Cyberport to launch Scheme 2.0 to foster collaboration between technology companies and enterprises and accelerate real-world asset tokenisation, blockchain and digital asset adoption.
Cyberport: agentic AI is evolving from assistant to autonomous transacting entity
Cyberport CEO Rocky Cheng said agentic AI is evolving from workplace assistants into autonomous entities that transact and decide on our behalf, turning the agentic economy from vision into reality. He posed three core questions: how to anchor trust when autonomous agents transact, how to take stablecoins and tokenised assets from pilot to scale, and where the human edge endures as AI drives execution costs toward zero. He said Hong Kong has laid a solid foundation for the compliant issuance of stablecoins and tokenised assets, and the next imperative is driving their practical adoption across circulation, trading, collateralisation and cross-border settlement.
Across the two days, the forum featured more than 80 physical booths and over 100 virtual showcases, bringing together startups from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and international markets across enterprise AI, agentic systems, asset tokenisation and digital finance. Overseas delegations from Europe, the Americas and Asia attended in record numbers. The forum's virtual platform stays open until mid-November for attendees to revisit sessions and arrange one-to-one meetings.
