Greater Bay Area lawyers forum closes the week

The closing event was the second Greater Bay Area Lawyers Forum, themed on the wisdom of the law in the bay area, which attracted more than 900 online and in-person participants. The forum focused on collaboration in legal services across the Greater Bay Area and new opportunities for Hong Kong and Macao legal practitioners to practise in the nine mainland cities of the area.

Greater Bay Area lawyer scheme made permanent this year

The Greater Bay Area lawyer scheme was made permanent through an amendment by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in August and took effect in September. More than 700 Hong Kong and Macao legal practitioners have so far obtained the relevant qualification, allowing them to handle certain civil and commercial legal matters under mainland law in the nine mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area.
