BTS return to São Paulo after seven years with Portuguese shout-outs at MorumBIS

BTS opened their three sold-out São Paulo concerts at Estádio do MorumBIS, their first visit in seven years, with more than 1.9 million people accessing the ticketing system; two further shows follow on 30 and 31 October.
BTS opened their São Paulo run at Estádio do MorumBIS, acknowledging a seven-year wait directly: Jimin addressed the crowd in Portuguese, saying: “A gente levou 7 anos pra voltar pra São Paulo de novo. Então, vamos fazer um show incrível!” (“It took us 7 years to return to São Paulo, so let's put on an incredible show!”)
Three sold-out shows
The opening night of the group's three sold-out Brazilian concerts brought the BTS World Tour 'ARIRANG' into its final Latin American stretch, after stadium shows in Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina. More than 1.9 million people accessed the ticketing system for the three dates, with estimated demand exceeding 3.7 million tickets. Two further performances at Estádio do MorumBIS follow on 30 and 31 October.
Stage and local touches
Inside the stadium, the tour's 360-degree stage placed fans around the performance, with a central pavilion inspired by the traditional Korean jeongja and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, and floor visuals inspired by the Taegeukgi, South Korea's flag, and its four trigrams. V joined Jimin in speaking directly to Brazilian fans: “ARMY ARRASA! Papo reto, vocês são os melhores!” (“ARMY rocks! Real talk, you guys are the best!”) — continuing the tour's pattern of a local gesture at each stop.
