Paris closes Saint-Michel metro station through December 19

The City of Paris confirms that Saint-Michel station on Metro Line 4 is closed all day from September 14 through December 19. Trains pass through without stopping.

Why it matters

Passengers heading to the Latin Quarter, Notre-Dame and the Left Bank should use nearby stations and allow extra time; separate Metro and RER works may also affect connections.

Full report

The closure applies to the Line 4 station at Saint-Michel while station modernisation work is carried out. The same city notice lists separate work periods on Lines 6, 8 and 13 and on RER A and B.

Line 6 also has a full-day closure scheduled for September 20 with replacement buses. Dates differ by project, and Saint-Michel's long closure does not mean the entire Line 4 is closed.

Travellers should check the City of Paris or RATP pages for same-day service, alternatives and accessibility information rather than relying on old maps or social-media screenshots.
