Saudi Arabia says debris from intercepted Houthi drone killed one in Taif

Saudi Civil Defense said air defenses intercepted the drone and falling debris damaged vehicles and buildings in Taif province. The reported victim was a Yemeni national; the two injured people were Saudi and Pakistani citizens. Their full medical condition was not disclosed in the reports.

Associated Press and Reuters separately reported the official statement. Both placed the incident within escalating fighting between the Houthis and forces aligned with Yemen's Saudi-backed government. Other battlefield claims, including claims about targets and aircraft losses, remain only partly verified.
