UAE's AD Ports completes $835 million acquisition of Brazil's CLI

AD Ports Group has completed the financial closing of its acquisition of Corredor Logística e Infraestrutura, Brazil's leading independent agri-bulk port terminal operator, for an enterprise value of about $835 million.
Why it matters
This is the largest acquisition in AD Ports Group's history: an enterprise value of AED 3.1 billion (about US$835 million) for Brazil's leading independent agri-bulk port terminal operator, Corredor Logística e Infraestrutura (CLI), marking the group's first strategic entry into South America and bringing Brazilian agricultural exports into its global trade network.
Full report
AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS) announced on October 3 that it has completed the financial closing of the CLI acquisition. The seller was funds managed by Macquarie Asset Management and IG4 Capital. The transaction, announced on June 2, closed after receiving regulatory and antitrust approvals from Brazil's National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ) and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE).
CLI operates two agri-bulk export terminals under long-term concessions: CLI Sul at the Port of Santos, handling sugar, corn and soybeans, and CLI Norte at the Port of Itaqui, part of Brazil's northern agricultural export corridor. In 2025 CLI moved 17 million tonnes of agri-bulk cargo, with revenue of AED 654 million (about US$178 million) and gross operating profit of AED 360 million (about US$98 million).
Noatum Ports, AD Ports' international ports arm, said it will integrate CLI into the group's wider global operations and plans direct routes between Brazil, Khalifa Port and the Abu Dhabi Food Hub, carrying Brazilian agricultural commodities to regional and international markets.
