Why it matters
The fourth edition of the Canada FinTech Symposium Alberta Edition takes place October 7–8 at Palomino Hall, BMO Centre in Calgary. The two-day conference is one of Canada's leading platforms for financial innovation, bringing together senior executives from banks, credit unions, fintechs, payment providers, regulators, investors and technology organizations to discuss payments modernization, consumer-driven banking, AI and digital assets.
What's on the program
Held under the theme "FinTech Forward: Building a Resilient, Inclusive & Intelligent Financial Future," the event features 50+ speakers, an exhibition hall and the inaugural Northern Lights FinTech Awards, recognizing Canadian financial innovation across ten categories, with winners announced at a cocktail reception on October 8.
Platinum partners include Interac Verified, Transactix Financial and Zafran Security. "Alberta is no longer watching Canada's fintech story from the sidelines. It is helping write it," said Rahul Bhatia, Director of the Canada FinTech Symposium at Prolink Events. The Alberta Edition builds on the momentum of the symposium's Toronto edition, held May 20–21, 2026.
