The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is depositing the Advanced Canada Workers Benefit (ACWB) October installment today, Friday Oct. 9 — moved up from Sunday Oct. 11 per CRA's official payment calendar. No separate application is needed; eligibility is assessed automatically from the prior year's tax return.

Today, Friday Oct. 9, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is depositing the Advanced Canada Workers Benefit (ACWB) October installment. Per CRA's official payment calendar, the scheduled date was Oct. 11 (Sunday) and was moved up to today because it fell on a weekend.

How it works: the ACWB advances up to 50% of the annual Canada Workers Benefit in three installments; no separate application is needed — the CRA assesses eligibility automatically from the taxpayer's prior-year tax return.

Also going out today: the Ontario Trillium Benefit, among others.

Note: this is the final ACWB installment of calendar year 2026; the next cycle follows the CRA calendar. Amounts are per CRA records and individual bank deposits.
