Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada held Express Entry draw 452 on October 27, inviting 5,000 French-language candidates with a minimum CRS score of 407, down 28 points from the October 16 French draw.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held Express Entry draw 452 on October 27, issuing 5,000 invitations to apply for permanent residence in the French-language proficiency category, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 407. It was the second draw in two days, after the October 26 Provincial Nominee Program draw invited 792 candidates, for a two-day total of 5,792.

Cutoff falls 28 points

The cutoff fell from the previous French-language draw on October 16, which also issued 5,000 invitations but set the minimum at 435. The tie-breaking rule for candidates at exactly 407 points was July 13, 2026, at 19:22 UTC: profiles submitted before that time were eligible.

Who qualifies for the French category

French-language category candidates must score at least NCLC level 7 in speaking, listening, reading and writing on an approved French test, with results less than two years old, and meet the eligibility requirements of an Express Entry-managed program. An invitation is not a guarantee of permanent residence; all program requirements must still be met.

IRCC has not announced the date, category or invitation count for the next draw.
