Canada–Ontario Child Care Deal Extension to Be Announced Tuesday Morning in Vaughan
Federal Jobs and Families Minister Patty Hajdu and Ontario Education Minister Paul Calandra will announce the extension of the Canada–Ontario Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement at 9 a.m. on September 29 in Vaughan.

Employment and Social Development Canada announced on September 28 that the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families, and the Honourable Paul Calandra, Ontario's Minister of Education, will jointly announce the extension of the Canada–Ontario Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement on Tuesday, September 29, at 9:00 a.m. EDT at a YMCA Child Care Centre in Vaughan.

Location: YMCA Child Care Centre, The David Braley Vaughan Centre, 200 Apple Mill Road, Vaughan, Ontario. They will be accompanied by Leslie Church, Parliamentary Secretary to the Secretaries of State for Labour, for Seniors, and for Children and Youth. Background
The Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement is the central framework through which the federal government works with provinces to move toward $10-a-day child care, lowering costs for families and expanding regulated spaces. Terms of the extension will be revealed at Tuesday morning's announcement; we will follow up once details are released.
