Etihad Rail opens 375-metre footbridge linking Dubai station to Metro Red Line

Etihad Rail has opened a 375-metre pedestrian bridge directly connecting its Dubai Al Yalayis Station with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line; Nol integration means one QR ticket covers the whole journey.
Why it matters
This is another key link in the integration of the UAE's national passenger railway with Dubai's urban transit: intercity rail passengers can now walk straight onto the Metro Red Line with no shuttle transfer, as Dubai cements its pitch as a global hub for smart, sustainable mobility.
Full report
Etihad Rail announced on October 19 the opening of the purpose-built 375-metre pedestrian bridge connecting Dubai Al Yalayis Station with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Dubai Metro Red Line. Passengers combining the two services benefit from Nol integration, buying the complete journey in a single transaction: one QR code validates travel across both the Etihad Rail and Dubai Metro legs (travellers are advised to review each service's own travel requirements).
Mohammed Alshehhi, Chief Projects Officer of Etihad Rail, called the direct connection "an important milestone in this journey", offering citizens, residents and visitors greater choice, convenience and flexibility while strengthening links between communities and economic and tourism hubs. Abdul Muhsen Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency at Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, said the integration "represents a leading model of collaboration" between RTA and Etihad Rail.
