Full report

Announced in Dubai in the presence of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, the project is designed to meet surging global data demand driven by artificial intelligence, while improving the flexibility and resilience of the group's infrastructure for the UAE's AI campuses, global cloud providers and its operations across markets.

etisalat group says it operates in 38 countries and serves more than 250 million subscribers, and that the expansion — delivered through diversified routes and low-latency design — will keep the country's link to the global digital economy fast, direct and resilient while safeguarding digital sovereignty.

The company said the investment continues a 50-year pattern: in every generation of technology, it has built the infrastructure the nation depends on, and AI is the defining technology of this one.
