Dubai Municipality has adopted IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.1, creating a unified platform integrating technical, financial, operational and geospatial data for over 350,000 municipal assets — the first government entity in the UAE to do so.

Dubai Municipality announced on October 5 that it has adopted IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.1 to advance the digital transformation of municipal asset management. The new platform integrates technical, financial, operational and geospatial data for more than 350,000 municipal assets, becoming the single source of truth for the asset lifecycle across the city.

The platform has been integrated with ERP, CRM, GIS, IoT and other systems. IBM said Dubai Municipality is the first government entity in the UAE to adopt the platform.

Nasser Hamed BuShehab, CEO of Planning and Governance at Dubai Municipality, said the platform will support maintenance, investment and planning decisions across the full asset lifecycle.
