Dubai Safari Park launches its eighth season today, pairing it with a first-ever "Wildest Opening Week" from Oct 12 to 18 during the schools' mid-term break, with six themed zones and a new Little Explorers' Base Camp.

Why it matters

Dubai Safari Park opens its eighth season today, and for the first time the launch is paired with a week-long "Wildest Opening Week" celebration. Running October 12-18, it lands squarely on the schools' mid-term break (October 12-16, stretched to nine days with weekends at several private schools), one of the busiest family-outing windows of the year. Season 8 carries the new "Live More Wild Life" brand platform, built on conservation, education and entertainment.

Full report

According to the Dubai Media Office, the opening week centers on the "Little Explorers' Base Camp," an adventure zone for young visitors with safari face painting, temporary tattoo stations, clay model making, arts and crafts, lawn games and safari-themed inflatables.

Spanning 119 hectares, the park is home to more than 3,000 animals across 300 species. Six themed zones stay open all season: African Village, Explorer Village, Asian Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Kids' Farm and Al Wadi. The Arabian Desert Safari is included with all tickets; the Safari Bundle upgrades visitors to the Explorer Safari Tour with close-up views of lions, giraffes and rhinos. Premium offerings include King of Safari, Behind the Scenes, Dine in the Wild and Jungle Capture, while live presentations such as Bird's Kingdom, Echoes of the Wild and Birds of Prey run through the season.

The park also reported record results for Season 7: B2B ticket sales up 16% year on year, B2B revenue up 26%, trade-sourced visitors accounting for 62% of weekday footfall, and 72% of guests choosing the safari bundle. A total of 144 animals were born in Season 7, including Salam, a Near Threatened Southern White Rhino, and Zuri, a giraffe. Season 8 adds the four-hour Royal Safari Experience for travel-trade groups of up to 10, and new sales representation in India and across Russia and the CIS.
