Dubai announces WETEX 2026 at World Trade Centre on Oct. 20–22 with new Health and Safety Hub

Why it matters

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced on Saturday, Oct. 10, that the 28th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2026) will be held from Oct. 20 to 22 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

This year's exhibition will feature a dedicated Health and Safety Hub hosting a Health and Safety Conference that brings together senior executives and experts from around the world in health, safety, wellbeing, emergency preparedness and emerging workplace risks. Discussions will cover the latest developments in occupational health and safety in schools, homes and workplaces, including the use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to manage risks.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, said the exhibition supports the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031, which aims to position the UAE as a global leader in quality of life. He said the conference will highlight innovations and technologies that strengthen health and safety practices, protect people and safeguard property and the environment.

WETEX is regarded as Dubai's flagship platform for advancing sustainability and the creative economy, spanning water, energy efficiency, technology innovation and environmental protection — aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy. The exhibition draws exhibitors and industry participants from around the world and is expected to generate commercial and technology partnerships.
