Hong Kong InnoCarnival 2026 opens at Science Park: nine days, free entry, aerospace zone

Organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission, InnoCarnival 2026 runs for nine consecutive days from today (Oct 24) to Nov 1 at the Hong Kong Science Park in Sha Tin, with free public admission, local innovation and technology exhibits and an aerospace thematic zone.
Why it matters
InnoCarnival is Hong Kong's annual public showcase for innovation and technology. This year's theme, “Lead with I&T, Dream to Fly High”, pairs local research exhibits with an aerospace zone — a public window onto the Northern Metropolis innovation-industry plan one month after Hong Kong's first five-year I&T plan was announced.

Organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission, InnoCarnival 2026 runs from Oct 24 to Nov 1 at the Hong Kong Science Park in Sha Tin, for nine consecutive days, with free public admission.
Alongside exhibits of local innovation and technology achievements, this year's carnival features an aerospace thematic zone showcasing research projects from local universities and their contributions to the country's space exploration missions.
At the opening ceremony, Financial Secretary Paul Chan said Hong Kong's strong frontier research capabilities, comprehensive financial services and world-class international talent together provide a complete pathway for turning ideas into industries. The government's first five-year plan, announced last month, positions the Northern Metropolis as a hub for I&T industries, aligning university talent development more closely with industry needs.
Chan added that the government will leverage Hong Kong's financial strengths to channel more patient capital to research teams and start-ups as they move from research and development to application.
