Hong Kong Sixes cricket returns in late October with 12 international teams

The 22nd Hong Kong Sixes runs Oct 30 to early November at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground, with 12 international teams in four pools — and regains "M" Mark status as a top-tier major sports event.

Why it matters

The Hong Kong Sixes, first held in 1992, returns for its 22nd edition from Oct 30 to early November at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. Twelve international teams are drawn in four pools: Australia, England, Hong Kong China; Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Scotland; India, Pakistan, UAE; South Africa, Afghanistan, Oman.

The tournament has again received "M" Mark Status from Hong Kong's Major Sports Events Committee — the top tier for international sporting events. It is sanctioned by the ICC and supported by the HKSAR Government.
