A medical facility in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second city, was hit in an overnight attack early on Tuesday, Nov. 3. According to Ukrainian officials, at least 62 people were injured, about 200 patients are being moved from the damaged facility to other hospitals, and more than 1,000 windows were damaged across the facility and nearby apartment buildings. Mayor: combined ballistic missile and guided-bomb attack
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said the facility damage came within a wider combined attack on the city using ballistic missiles and guided aerial bombs, and that about 200 patients would be moved to other medical facilities. Rescue and evacuation work began immediately after the strike.
Figures still being checked; other regions hit the same night
Reports differ on the injury count: another report put at least 25 people injured in the combined attack. This article uses the latest figure reported by Ukrainian officials (at least 62), which may be revised as officials update it; the accounts have not been independently verified. Ukrainian officials also reported 12 people injured elsewhere in the Kharkiv region and five injured in Odesa the same night. For context, Terekhov said on Nov. 2 that Kharkiv was attacked 153 times in October, the highest monthly total of 2026, killing 22 people and injuring 287, including 17 children.
