GTCO Fashion Weekend Opens in Lagos With 12 Designers and 140 Retailers

The ninth GTCO Fashion Weekend runs November 7–8 at the GTCentre in Oniru, Lagos, under the theme "Fashion Is Timeless," with 12 African and international designers on the runway and 140 curated fashion retailers, free and open to the public.
Lagos hosts its annual fashion showpiece this weekend: the ninth GTCO Fashion Weekend, organized by Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO), opened on November 7 at the GTCentre in Oniru under the theme "Fashion Is Timeless," free and open to the public for two days.
Twelve designers across two days
Six designers took to the runway on the opening day: Tongoro of Senegal, FIA Factory, Ibrahim Fernandez, Washington Roberts, Maison Sara Chraibi and Imane Ayissi. On November 8, Sukeina, House of Marvee, Selam Fessahaye, Kim Shui, Ohlanna Bu Zikora and LaQuan Smith take over. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day.
140 retailers, masterclasses and a streetwear hub
Beyond the runway, 140 curated fashion stores are selling clothing, accessories and lifestyle pieces, and a series of masterclasses is led by fashion entrepreneur, model and digital creator Sherlina Nym, Rachel Ojuromi and Renee Morris, founder of natural hair brand Uncle Funky's Daughter, alongside a skincare masterclass by Buttah Skin and a dedicated streetwear hub.
A new year-round platform extends the impact
This year's edition introduces the GTCO Fashion Collective, a year-round platform designed to extend the impact of Fashion Weekend beyond its annual two-day showcase. GTCO says admission is free and visitors can head straight to the GTCentre (Plot 1, Water Corporation Drive, Oniru).
