Lagos holds Ibeju-Lekki power dialogue, focusing on Ajah–Eleko 132kV transmission line

Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources Biodun Ogunleye attended a power stakeholders' dialogue in Ibeju-Lekki on Sept 30, centered on the Ajah–Eleko Junction 132kV transmission line and improving supply along the Lekki corridor.
Why it matters
The Lekki corridor is one of the fastest-growing areas in Lagos, with surging residential and industrial power demand that transmission infrastructure has long failed to keep up with. The 132kV line from Ajah to Eleko is the key project for unblocking supply in the area.

The Lagos State Government convened a power stakeholders' dialogue in Ibeju-Lekki on September 30, attended by the State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Biodun Ogunleye.
Discussions centred on the 132kV transmission line project from Ajah to Eleko Junction and on improving the stability of electricity supply along the Lekki corridor.
The state government said it would coordinate all relevant parties to push the transmission line forward and ease the area's long-standing power shortfalls.
