The shooting happened at about 7:47 p.m. on October 2 at the junction of Braybrook Street and Erconwald Street. Between 40 and 50 mourners, including children, had gathered for the memorial service when the man was killed.
The murder investigation is led by DCI Brian Howie; no arrests have been made. Police described it as a "senseless act of violence" and appealed for dashcam or phone footage from anyone in the area between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on October 2.
