The Metropolitan Police have issued an urgent appeal after Anthony Lloyd, 38, forced his way out of a medical facility in Lewisham on 23 October, warning the public not to approach him and to call 999 immediately.

Why it matters

This is an active urgent manhunt: police say the man could be anywhere in London and are asking the public for help finding him.

Full report

According to the Metropolitan Police on 24 October, Anthony Lloyd, 38, forced his way out of a medical facility in Lewisham at around 4:10 p.m. on Friday, 23 October, and was seen heading in the direction of Catford.

Police describe him as white, around 5ft 8, of medium build with short dark hair. When last seen he was wearing a grey-blue T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers. Police note this describes what he was wearing when he left, not necessarily what he is wearing now.

Detective Superintendent Melanie Pressley, who is leading the manhunt, said police are conducting significant enquiries to find Lloyd and return him to custody, and that they are concerned he poses a risk both to himself and the public. Anyone who sees him should call 999 immediately and not approach him.

Officers believe Lloyd could be anywhere in London and say he also has links to Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Merseyside. Anyone with information is asked to call 999 quoting CAD4739/23Oct.
