Dodgers open NLDS against Braves on Saturday at Dodger Stadium

Dodgers host the Braves in NLDS Game 1 on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. PT at Dodger Stadium; Atlanta swept Philadelphia in the Wild Card and won 5 of 6 regular-season meetings.
Why it matters
The Dodgers earned a first-round bye as the National League's No. 2 seed after a 100-win season. The Braves arrive red-hot after sweeping Philadelphia in the Wild Card Series — and they won five of six regular-season meetings with Los Angeles, so this rematch is anything but a formality.
Full report
The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Saturday, October 3, at Dodger Stadium, with first pitch at 1:00 p.m. PT (4:00 p.m. ET). Game 2 follows on Sunday, October 4, at 5:00 p.m. PT (8:00 p.m. ET), also in Los Angeles.
The series then shifts to Truist Park in Atlanta for Game 3 on Tuesday, October 6, and Game 4 (if necessary) on Wednesday, October 7. A decisive Game 5, if needed, returns to Dodger Stadium on Friday, October 9. The best-of-five winner advances to the National League Championship Series.
The Braves punched their ticket by dispatching the Philadelphia Phillies in the Wild Card Series. The Dodgers finished the regular season 100-62, second-best in the National League, but Atlanta dominated the season series, taking five of six games and outscoring Los Angeles 26-15 across May and August meetings.
