The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 5-3 in Game 1 of their National League Division Series on Saturday at Dodger Stadium. The game-time temperature was 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 Celsius), just short of the venue record of 103 degrees, with a feels-like temperature of 105.

Dodgers starter Tarik Skubal tossed six dominant innings, allowing one run on two hits with seven strikeouts and two walks on 94 pitches. The two-time Cy Young Award winner retired 15 straight after giving up a leadoff single; Sean Murphy's 421-foot solo homer in the sixth was the only damage. Teoscar Hernández, Kyle Tucker and Max Muncy each homered for Los Angeles.

The Braves rallied in the ninth on Ozzie Albies' 432-foot two-run homer off reliever Tanner Scott, cutting the lead to 5-3, before Evan Phillips induced a game-ending groundout to earn the save. Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday evening at Dodger Stadium with Blake Snell starting, and the extreme heat warning remains in effect.
