Air Canada launches non-stop Montréal–Seville flights, the only direct North America link

· N GLOBE

Air Canada announced October 14 it will launch seasonal non-stop flights between Montréal and Seville starting September 8, 2027, up to four times weekly on the Airbus A321XLR. It is the only non-stop link between North America and Seville, and the airline's fifth destination in Spain.

Why it matters

Starting next fall, Montreal travellers can fly directly to Seville, the capital of Andalusia, without connecting through Madrid or Barcelona. Air Canada says the route is the only non-stop link between North America and Seville.

Flight details

Flight AC 958 leaves Montréal at 8:30 p.m. and lands in Seville at 9:30 a.m. the next day; the return, AC 959, leaves Seville at 12:45 p.m. and arrives in Montréal at 2:40 p.m. Service runs three times weekly from September 8, 2027, rising to four from October 1, pauses from January 9 to February 17, 2028, then resumes until early June 2028. The route uses the Airbus A321XLR with 14 lie-flat Air Canada Signature seats and 168 economy seats. Tickets are on sale at aircanada.com.

Network fit

Seville is Air Canada's fifth destination in Spain, after Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Tenerife. Unlike the airline's new summer routes, Seville is a fall, winter and spring route, sidestepping the Andalusian summer heat.
