Tourisme Montréal announced it has ranked No. 1 worldwide in destination management in the 2026 Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS-Index), with a record score of 98% — an unprecedented performance on the international stage. Montreal also rose from 20th to 9th in the overall ranking of 81 destinations, entering the global Top 10 for the first time.
