Puppy held by John Legend at NYC's Halloween Dog Parade adopted the same day
At the 36th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade on Oct 17, singer John Legend held 3-month-old shelter puppy Cloud at the kick-off; hours later, Cloud was adopted by a shelter visitor. Snickers, dressed as Knicks star Jalen Brunson, won Best in Show.
Why it matters
Running since 1990, the parade is long past being just a Halloween carnival — the ASPCA used October's Adopt a Shelter Dog Month to showcase adoptable dogs, and one puppy finding a home the very same day is the best publicity of all.
