Paris Metro Line 6 is fully closed on October 4 for modernization works; RER C, D and E lines and several Transilien suburban lines also face weekend suspensions.

Anyone planning to take the metro in Paris on Sunday, October 4 should take note: Metro Line 6 is fully closed all day for modernization works. The line, which normally runs between Charles de Gaulle–Étoile and Nation via the Eiffel Tower area on its famous elevated viaduct, is heavily used by both commuters and tourists.

According to Paris travel information site Sortiraparis, citing RATP service bulletins, the closures on October 4 are: Metro Line 6 fully closed all day; RER C suspended between Invalides and Juvisy and between Invalides and Massy-Palaiseau (Saturday and Sunday until 5 p.m.); RER D not running between Creil and Stade de France–Saint-Denis; RER E interrupted between Villiers-sur-Marne–Le Plessis-Trévise and Tournan.

Transilien suburban lines P, R, U and V also face weekend outages, mainly affecting Seine-et-Marne and Yvelines. RATP advises passengers to check real-time service information before travelling and to consider alternative lines or surface buses for Sunday outings.
