Paris Navigo Pass Could Rise to €93.40 a Month in 2027, Annual Pass Crosses €1,000

IDFM's 2027 budget report projects the monthly Navigo pass rising to €93.40 and the annual pass crossing €1,000 for the first time. A vote is still needed in December.
Why it matters
The Navigo pass is used daily by millions of commuters in the Paris region. The proposed 2027 fares would mark the fifth consecutive annual increase — and the first time the annual pass crosses the symbolic €1,000 threshold. Nothing is final yet: the figures still need a board vote in October and a tariff vote in December.
Full report
The price of the Navigo transit pass in Paris and across the Île-de-France region could rise again in 2027, according to figures from the 2027 budget-orientation report of Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), the regional transport authority, reported by ICI Paris Île-de-France and relayed by Sortiraparis and CNews.
The all-zones monthly pass would go from €90.80 to €93.40 — an increase of €2.60 a month, or about 2.9%. The annual pass would climb from €998.80 to €1,027.80, crossing the €1,000 mark for the first time. The Imagine R student pass would rise from €401.30 to €413.70.
IDFM is basing the rise on projected 2027 inflation of 1.9%, plus one extra point — the cap set by the "tariff shield" agreement with the state in September 2023, which limits annual increases to inflation plus 1% through 2031. The authority says the money is needed to fund network modernization, including the Grand Paris Express, and to cover higher operating costs.
The report is due to be presented to the IDFM board on Oct. 15, and the final tariffs will only be voted in December along with the budget — so the figures could still change, though a revision is considered unlikely.
