Geneva Airport announced on 30 October that LATAM Airlines Brasil will launch a nonstop route between São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) and Geneva (GVA) from April 2027, operating three times a week with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Tickets went on sale on 1 November via latam.com and other channels.
Schedule and first flights
Under the published schedule, flights leave Geneva on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:05 p.m., arriving in São Paulo at 6:55 p.m. local time; flights leave São Paulo on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 6:05 p.m., arriving in Geneva at 9:55 a.m. the next day. The first São Paulo departure is scheduled for 1 April 2027 and the first Geneva departure for 2 April 2027. Times are local and subject to change.
Geneva's first scheduled nonstop to South America
Geneva Airport said the route is its first scheduled nonstop passenger service to South America, and LATAM's 11th destination in Europe and 33rd international destination overall. Operations remain subject to government approval. Aviation media note that Switzerland's only current nonstop passenger route to South America is SWISS's daily Zurich–São Paulo service, so the new route adds a second air link between Switzerland and Brazil's largest metropolitan economy.
