Full report
São Paulo's Metro Line 2-Green experienced service difficulties early this Wednesday (October 7) when trains had to run at reduced speed with longer dwell times after a track interference between Sacomã and Vila Prudente stations. According to the Metrô, the interference occurred around 4:43 a.m. local time and was resolved by about 5:00 a.m.; all lines are now operating normally.
Some commuters complained on social media about delays in the first half hour of service. Two independent transport outlets, Diário do Transporte and TMC Brasil, reported the same incident with matching details. Image: Sumaré station on Line 2-Green (official Metrô photo).
