There were sharp regional differences: the Inner West led at 64.1%, followed by City and East (63.3%) and the Lower North (58.3%); the West was lowest at 28.6%. By property type: houses 48.2%, units 61.9%.
The week's top sale was a five-bedroom home at 2a Barry St, Clovelly, for A$6.825 million; the lowest was a two-bedroom unit in Schofields at A$530,000. The report expects clearance rates to stay soft in coming weeks; the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) meets on rates in November.
