Full report
The Bondi to Manly Ultra, powered by DENZA, takes place on Saturday, October 24. Runners set off at 4:30am from Bondi Beach, following the renowned Bondi to Manly walking track past Watsons Bay, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the finish at Manly Beach — 80km with about 1,375 metres of elevation gain, and a 7:30pm cut-off.
The event offers three race categories: the 80km solo ultra and relay options including a 20km relay. The relay runs in four legs (19.78km, 20.81km, 23.24km, 16.83km) with changeovers at Lyne Park, Milson Park and Clontarf Reserve. Organisers say capacity was increased for 2026, yet all three categories sold out ahead of race weekend.
Organisers say the demand reflects the broader rise of endurance sport across Australia, with more Australians embracing running to build fitness, mental resilience and community. The event also highlights a commitment to protecting the public lands and natural environment around Sydney Harbour.
