Toronto advance voting ends tonight at 7; online voters'-list updates close at the same hour

· N GLOBE

Advance voting in Toronto's 2026 municipal election closes at 7 p.m. Sunday — the same 7 p.m. deadline to check or update the voters' list online. Miss it and the only option left is election day, October 26.

Why it matters

Today is the last chance to vote early — after that, voters must wait for election day on October 26. And 7 p.m. tonight is also the deadline to check or update voters'-list information online, a final call for anyone who has moved or changed their name.

Full report

Advance voting in Toronto's 2026 municipal election ran from Tuesday, October 6 to Sunday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Any eligible voter could cast a ballot at an advance voting place with no reason required; advance voting places differ from election-day locations, so voters should check their voter information card or MyVote before heading out.

According to Toronto Elections, 7 p.m. tonight is also the deadline to check or update voters'-list information online through MyVote. Voters who miss it can still register in person on election day, but advance voting will be over. Those who did not receive a voter information card can download a digital version online.

Voters who do not vote early can vote on election day, Monday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mail-in ballots must reach Toronto Elections by noon on Wednesday, October 14. Eligible voters are Canadian citizens aged 18 or older who are Toronto residents, or non-resident property owners or renters in the city.
