Toronto's mayoral race continued this weekend, with incumbent Olivia Chow announcing on October 3 an expansion of museum and attraction opportunities for families as well as expanded library programming for children.
Chow is seeking re-election, challenged by city councillor Brad Bradford and former federal Conservative cabinet minister Chris Alexander. A Mainstreet Research poll cited by the National Post gives Chow 38.1% support, Bradford 32.2% and Alexander 7.2%; 16% of voters are undecided and 14% say they could change their minds. Affordability is voters' top concern, rated extremely or somewhat important by 78%.
