Chow's Lead Over Bradford Narrows to 4 Points in First Post-Withdrawal Toronto Poll

Forum Research's October 6 poll: Olivia Chow 46%, Brad Bradford 42% — the gap is down to 4 points, the closest of the campaign.
Why it matters
The first poll taken after Chris Alexander's withdrawal shows the Toronto mayoral race has become a two-way contest between Olivia Chow and Brad Bradford — and Chow's lead has shrunk to just 4 points, the narrowest margin of the campaign.
Full report
Forum Research surveyed 1,604 Toronto voters by interactive voice response (IVR) on October 6, with a margin of error of ±2.45 percentage points. The results: incumbent mayor Olivia Chow 46%, city councillor Brad Bradford 42%, other 12%. Alexander, who suspended his campaign on October 6, was not included.
For comparison: Liaison Strategies' October 3–4 survey (1,000 respondents) had Chow at 48% and Bradford at 40%, an 8-point gap; Nanos Research's September 30–October 4 survey (755 respondents) showed Chow 52.4%, Bradford 42.6% and Alexander 4%.
Election day is October 26, and advance voting opened on October 6. Because Alexander withdrew after the August 21 deadline, his name will still appear on the ballot.
