Why it matters

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has announced planned track work on the western end of Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) this weekend: no subway service between Kipling and Jane on Saturday, Oct 24, expanding to Kipling–Keele on Sunday, Oct 25. Shuttle buses will replace subway service both days, stopping at every station.

Runnymede and High Park stations will be fully closed on Sunday; the Grenview entrance at Royal York will be closed both days. The TTC says regular subway service will resume around 6 a.m. Monday, Oct 26.

West-end commuters should allow extra travel time. The TTC advises riders to check its official Service Advisories when planning trips; travellers heading to Pearson Airport may consider alternatives such as the UP Express.
