Dubai Municipality Showcases Cosmetics Safety Ecosystem at Beautyworld Dubai 2026

· N GLOBE

The 30th Beautyworld Dubai opened at Dubai World Trade Centre, with Dubai Municipality presenting its AI-driven cosmetics and personal-care product safety ecosystem; its "Montaji" registry now lists 600,000+ products.

Why it matters

The 30th edition of Beautyworld Dubai runs Oct 6–8 at Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing 70,000+ industry stakeholders from 150 countries. Dubai Municipality used the show to present its proactive cosmetics and personal-care product safety ecosystem — Dubai's entry points handle over 90% of total UAE imports, so cosmetics safety is a direct consumer-protection matter.

Full report

The exhibition was opened by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. The Municipality showcased AI-powered digital transformation of consumer-product safety services: simplified registration, faster transactions. Its "Montaji" product-registration system now lists more than 600,000 items. Dubai Central Laboratory verifies the safety and compliance of cosmetics, detecting non-compliant or harmful ingredients early with new fast analytical tests.

The Municipality will also recognise salons and beauty centres meeting the standards of its Model Salon Initiative.
