Anthropic rolls out cost tools for Claude Enterprise: smart reports, in-app surveys and pooled team budgets

Anthropic announced on October 28 that three new Claude Enterprise features are now generally available: smart reports, in-app surveys and pooled group budgets. The tools let administrators see what teams accomplish with Claude, what that work costs, and gather feedback from employees directly, at a time when enterprise buyers are increasingly asking what their AI spending returns.

Smart reports: work and cost in one view

Smart reports analyze a sample of a team's Claude transcripts and organize activity into workstreams, showing deliverables, usage costs calculated at Anthropic's standard pricing before discounts, and common problems such as failed tool calls or missing connectors, along with suggestions for turning recurring workflows into reusable skills. Administrators select a team, one or more Claude applications and a reporting period of up to 28 days; each organization can generate 10 reports per month for free. The reports are disabled by default, and Anthropic says they are meant to guide investment decisions, not to evaluate individual performance or inform employment decisions.

Surveys and pooled budgets

In-app surveys ask employees inside Claude what it helped them achieve, how it affected their work time and what would slow down without it; administrators can customize the questions, choose recipients and export responses to a spreadsheet. Pooled group budgets give each team a shared monthly allowance while retaining individual member limits: requests count against both, usage is put on hold when either limit is reached, and administrators receive alerts when spending hits 50%, 75%, 95% and 100% of the group budget; members can ask administrators for more capacity inside Claude. Anthropic notes availability may vary for organizations with HIPAA configurations or customer-managed encryption keys.
