Apple Creator Studio November update: AI assistants for Keynote, Pages and Numbers, plus MCP support

Apple announced on October 27 that Creator Studio will get an update in November: Keynote, Pages and Numbers will gain beta AI assistants, Final Cut Pro will build in MotionVFX content, and Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro will each get new tools. Existing subscribers get the update free; new subscribers in the US pay $12.99 a month or $129 a year.

What each office assistant does

Apple says the assistants, built on Apple models and OpenAI, understand document context: in Keynote they help design, animate and refine slides, in Pages they draft, restructure and polish writing, and in Numbers they calculate, organise data, suggest charts and build tables using what Apple calls world knowledge. The Logic Pro assistant, also in beta, can start a new song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt or help refine a project.

MCP opens documents to outside agents

The three office apps also gain Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, so outside AI agents can read content, perform edits and run automated actions on Mac. Apple's own illustration shows ChatGPT summarising an open Keynote deck. Notably, Apple does not say which OpenAI model is involved or how much of a document reaches OpenAI.

Requirements and the other new tools

The assistants are beta and US English only, requiring an Apple Intelligence-capable device on iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27; the Logic Pro assistant and MCP support are Mac-only. The same update brings MotionVFX effects, transitions and motion graphics into Final Cut Pro, video assets in the Content Hub, a natural-language Generate Fill in Pixelmator Pro, and a Logic Pro Stem Splitter that can now isolate drums, plus a redesigned sound browser.
