The release includes two lists. The China imports list (US products) runs to hundreds of lines, nearly all farm and food products — beef, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish, dairy, eggs, fruit, vegetables, nuts and fresh flowers. The US imports list (Chinese products) has 77 items, mostly everyday consumer goods: fireworks, plastic tableware, blankets and bed linen, curtains, umbrellas, artificial flowers, household scales, food processors and mixers, shavers, flashlights, electric irons, microwave ovens, coffee and tea makers, toasters, Christmas tree lights, highchairs and child safety seats, toys (excluding radio/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth-enabled ones), playing cards, Christmas decorations, sports balls, fishing gear and vacuum flasks.
The lists follow up on the eight-point consensus from the Xi-Trump Washington summit. The two sides agreed to cut tariffs on $30 billion of 'noncritical' goods — including agricultural and energy-related products — to most-favored-nation levels. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer previously said the trade truce, originally due to expire November 10, has been extended by two more months to January 10 to give negotiators more time.
