U.S. to Raise EVUS Enrollment Fee to $31.75 Starting October 16

DHS announced FY2027 inflation adjustments: the EVUS fee for Chinese 10-year B-visa holders rises from $30.75 to $31.75 starting October 16, 2026. ESTA and parole fees also increase.
Why it matters
EVUS enrollment is mandatory for Chinese nationals holding 10-year B-1/B-2 visitor visas before traveling to the United States — a valid visa alone is not enough. Anyone enrolling on or after October 16 will pay the new amount, so travelers with upcoming trips should check their enrollment status now.
Full report
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security published a notice in the Federal Register on October 1 announcing fiscal year 2027 inflation adjustments to immigration fees created under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1, Public Law 119-21). The new amounts take effect October 16, 2026.
The EVUS enrollment fee — paid by nationals of the People's Republic of China holding 10-year B-1, B-2 or B-1/B-2 visas — rises from $30.75 to $31.75, an increase of one dollar.
Other fees change too: the ESTA authorization fee rises from $40.27 to $40.62, and the parole fee increases from $1,020 to $1,050. The H.R. 1 portion of the Form I-94 fee is unchanged, under the statute's rounding rules.
The adjustments reflect a 3.36 percent rise in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers between July 2025 and July 2026, as required by annual inflation-adjustment rules in H.R. 1.
CBP, USCIS and ICE begin assessing the new amounts on October 16. Immigration attorneys advise travelers to review filing and enrollment timing, since applications submitted on or after that date must include the updated fee.
