Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Executive Order 26-202 on Tuesday (October 6), declaring a state of emergency in 25 counties and authorizing the Florida Division of Emergency Management to pre-stage critical response resources.

Assets are being staged in Tallahassee and the Santa Rosa area for rapid deployment, including generators, fuel, flood barriers, boxed water pallets, shelf-stable meals, flood buckets, tarps, Tiger Dams and sandbags. Officials urged residents to finalize disaster plans and stock hurricane supply kits.

Expected impacts include heavy rainfall, strong winds, coastal flooding and isolated tornadoes across North Florida.
