The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 253.38 points (0.49%) to close at 51,521.28. The S&P 500 gained 44.98 points (0.58%) to finish at 7,818.93, after touching an intraday record of 7,844.52. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.45% to 27,599.79, a record close and intraday high.
Gainers included Cisco Systems (+4.54%) and Walmart (+2.03%) on the Dow, while Constellation Energy (+12.25%), Ciena (+13.85%) and Marvell Technology (+5.81%) stood out on the S&P 500. Intel (-3.18%), Salesforce (-2.09%) and Boeing (-1.50%) were the Dow's weakest. Coterra Energy (-8.62%), Moderna (-7.77%) and Western Digital (-6.93%) lagged the broader index.
