Vancouver Goldeneyes unveil first crested jerseys: golden-eye logo, bronze wing stripes

The Vancouver Goldeneyes unveiled their new home and away jerseys at Pacific Coliseum on October 21, featuring the golden-eye team crest for the first time: five bronze wing stripes on each sleeve and V-shaped side blocking nodding to the "flying V" celebration. They debut December 5 in the home opener against Seattle Torrent.
Why it matters
The Vancouver Goldeneyes finally have jerseys that are truly their own. The team unveiled its 2026-27 home and away sweaters at Pacific Coliseum on the morning of October 21, putting the golden-eye crest on the chest for the first time — per PWHL tradition, inaugural-season jerseys carry only the city name in diagonal script, with fully branded uniforms arriving in year two.
Full report
The design is packed with detail: a textured golden eye encircled by wings pointing to the Pacific Northwest on the chest; five earthy bronze lines on each sleeve evoking the wings of the common goldeneye — a PWHL first; dynamic V-shaped blocking on the sides, alluding both to the "V" in Vancouver and the fan-favourite "flying V" postgame celebration; and the logo's eye silhouette worked into the back numbers. The trim keeps the inaugural season's blue and burnt orange. Captain Ashton Bell, North Vancouver's Hannah Miller, Surrey's Jenn Gardiner and others attended the reveal, with Bell saying she is "obsessed with them" and can't wait to wear them in a game.
Fans will see the new sweaters in action at the December 5 home opener against Seattle Torrent. Jerseys are on sale now through the PWHL's official online shop in Canada and the US, in person at the team store at Pacific Coliseum on October 22 from 12 to 8 p.m. PT, and at select Pro Hockey Life and Canadian Tire locations.
The new look comes as the franchise rebuilds: last season's 9-3-4-14 record left Vancouver sixth and out of the playoffs, head coach Brian Idalski was dismissed after the season with general manager Cara Gardner Morey taking over behind the bench; the club drafted Olympic MVP Caroline Harvey first overall and signed her to a three-year deal, and new GM Alison Izzi joined last month. New jerseys, new core — year two in Vancouver is worth watching.
