YVR domestic Maple Leaf Lounge serves last guests today; closes tomorrow until 2028

Air Canada's domestic Maple Leaf Lounge at Vancouver International Airport operates its final day today (Oct 13) before closing for renovations on Oct 14, reopening in early 2028; travellers can use two Air Canada Cafés meanwhile.
Why it matters
Air Canada's domestic Maple Leaf Lounge at Vancouver International Airport (YVR, Pier C) serves its last guests today, October 13, before closing for renovations. Construction starts October 14, with reopening targeted for early 2028 — a closure of more than 14 months.
During the closure, eligible domestic travellers can use two Air Canada Cafés in the departures area: the main Café near Gate C50 (daily 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and a smaller one across from the food court between Gates 46 and 47 (daily 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
Background
The project is part of Air Canada's multi-year Maple Leaf Lounge transformation plan announced last September. The renovated lounge is set to feature quiet work zones, a central fireplace gathering area, locally inspired food and a full-service bar; size and seat count have not been released.
Unaffected facilities include the Transborder Maple Leaf Lounge (Pier E), the International Maple Leaf Lounge (Pier D) and the Signature Suite, all operating as usual.
