Palomino wins first hyperscaler order: GaN MicroLED chips for AI optical interconnects

AI interconnect company Palomino Laboratories says it has received its first purchase order from a strategic hyperscaler customer for high-performance GaN MicroLED chips for AI infrastructure optical interconnects.
Why it matters
Palomino Laboratories (OTCQB: PALX) announced on Oct. 22 that it has received its first purchase order from a strategic hyperscaler customer, a key commercial milestone for the AI interconnect product company. The PO includes a statement of work (SOW) for delivering high-performance gallium nitride (GaN) MicroLED chips designed specifically for optical interconnect applications in AI infrastructure.
What the company says
Palomino says the order validates its core market thesis: MicroLED technology designed for the display market is not optimized for optical interconnects and must be re-engineered for high-speed data, tailored to AI data center link budgets and customer system requirements. Under the SOW, the company expects to further improve nanomaterial and MicroLED design to raise output power and fiber coupling efficiency; other technical parameters already meet the customer's targets.
