The City of Calgary newsroom has published the focus communities for mobile photo radar in November 2026: Altadore, Auburn Bay, Cambrian Heights, Glamorgan, Glenbrook, Patterson, Silver Springs, Varsity and Wildwood. The Calgary Police Service says photo radar vehicles will also attend construction zones where workers are present.

57 intersection camera sites in year-round operation

Beyond mobile radar, 57 Intersection Safety Camera (ISC) sites across the city capture red-light infractions and speed-on-green violations. The Calgary Police Service says its Automated Traffic Enforcement program follows the Government of Alberta's guidelines and aims to reduce collisions, injuries and fatalities as part of the city's Safer Mobility Plan; the service operates 14 photo radar vehicles deployed to more than 400 locations.

More than 50 km/h over means a mandatory court summons

Police remind drivers that fines increase with speed, and travelling more than 50 km/h over the posted limit brings a mandatory court summons. The monthly list is updated each month; drivers passing through the listed communities and construction zones should watch posted limits.
