YouTube Music's weekly charts for the period ending October 29 have a new leader: Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan's synth-pop collaboration 'expectations' takes the No. 1 spot on the US Top Songs chart and debuts at No. 8 on Global Top Songs. The track comes from Rodrigo's recent album, and its video features David Byrne as a game show host.

A double win for Rodrigo, and a strong week for Tate McRae

On the same chart, Rodrigo's 'stupid song' climbs to No. 63 in the US. Canadian pop star Tate McRae's new single 'Housewife' and its lush music video are also connecting with listeners, climbing to No. 3 on the US Weekly Top Music Videos chart and debuting at No. 15 globally; McRae also performed the track at the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, whose video claims No. 33 on the US weekly chart.

Two new members of the Billion Views Club

The Billion Views Club welcomed two new entries this week: the official video for the Black Eyed Peas' 2009 dancefloor anthem 'I Gotta Feeling' passed one billion views, the group's fifth video to do so, while German pop act Modern Talking entered the club with the official video for their 1985 single 'Cheri Cheri Lady', the fog-filled visual set at a German villa becoming the duo's first billion-view video.
